Three integrated pillars of
ophthalmology expertise

VisionCare brings together subspecialty clinical depth, direct experience building and leading virtual ophthalmology services, and a strong track record of institutional partnership. We deliver solutions that are clinically credible, operationally sound, and built to scale.

Comprehensive ophthalmology services, designed for the modern healthcare environment

From direct subspecialty clinical care to full virtual clinic deployment and institutional consultancy, VisionCare provides comprehensive ophthalmic expertise built on senior clinical experience across NHS and European healthcare environments.

01
Teleophthalmology & Remote Clinical Services

VisionCare delivers specialist led remote ophthalmology care, providing clinicians and healthcare organisations with direct access to subspecialty expertise in medical retina and uveitis. Our teleophthalmology services are built on the same clinical standards as in person care, with the operational infrastructure to integrate seamlessly into existing workflows.

We provide systematic review and structured reporting of multimodal ophthalmic imaging, including OCT, fundus photography, fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography, and widefield imaging. Each report is written to a defined clinical standard, providing the referring clinician with a clear, actionable assessment that supports safe decision-making. Our formal second opinion service is designed for complex cases requiring independent subspecialty review prior to treatment decisions, surgical planning, or medicolegal evaluation.

All remote clinical services are delivered within a defined governance framework, drawing on NHS standards of accountability, documentation, and audit. Services are adapted for private and institutional healthcare environments across Croatia and the wider region. For organisations operating in the UK market, VisionCare works in partnership with UK Ophthalmology Consultants Ltd, ensuring full regulatory alignment and local clinical accountability.

02
Virtual Ophthalmology Clinic Design & Implementation

VisionCare designs and implements fully operational virtual ophthalmology clinics, drawing on direct experience establishing and leading virtual medical retina services at Moorfields Eye Hospital. We work with healthcare providers to build scalable, sustainable remote service models that reflect the clinical and operational realities of the environments in which they will run.

Our implementation work covers the full service lifecycle: clinical protocol development, workflow design, governance frameworks, quality assurance, and training of clinical and administrative teams. Through partnerships with leading ophthalmic device manufacturers and digital health providers, VisionCare can support the deployment of the complete clinical infrastructure from initial specification through to a live, functioning service.

We design services that work within existing institutional structures, align with workforce capabilities, and meet the commissioning and regulatory requirements of their operating environment. The outcome is a virtual ophthalmology service that is operationally robust, clinically defensible, and built to grow.

03
External Clinical Consultancy

VisionCare works as an external clinical consultant to private clinics, hospitals, and healthcare organisations seeking subspecialty ophthalmology expertise beyond their immediate clinical resource. We provide pathway optimisation, clinical quality oversight, and strategic input on service development, supporting institutions in delivering better patient outcomes and more efficient, sustainable care models.

Each engagement is tailored to the specific needs of the organisation, whether that involves developing a new ophthalmic service, improving an existing care pathway, or providing senior clinical input to governance and quality processes. VisionCare brings a rigorous, evidence based approach informed by NHS experience and international subspecialty practice.

We also advise pharmaceutical and medical device companies, investment funds, and health technology ventures on clinical strategy, evidence generation, and the practical realities of ophthalmic service adoption, helping organisations navigate the intersection of clinical credibility and commercial development.
